10 in the bed and the little one said......

Another nights trapping last night, and a tenfold increas on the last night! total moth count of 10 with six different species:

Hebrew Character - 5
Shoulder Stripe - 1 (a first for me)
Common Quaker - 1 (another first)
Clouded Drab - 1 (yet more firsts)
Agonopterix heracliana- 1 (yet more firsts)
Diurnea fagella - 1 (yet more firsts)

Quite happy with my haul, plenty of new moths, but then I was bound to as this is the first time I have trapped in March (only having started sept 2010).

And now for the images, I am unsure whether I prefer my moth pictures on a natural or wooden background or on a clean white one, so I try to shoot both, some as you will see are obviously taken as an ID guide for myself (usually shot from above for full wing markings) others are more artistic (with photography as a hobby, I prefer these), anyway here are a selection of shots from last night:

Please feel free to let me know what you think of the pictures (and if I have made any mistakes in the identification). Always happy to hear peoples thoughts.

Conditions:
Started out cloudy, but was clear by morning, chilly, but no frost. Moon was on the wane.
