A week away so no trapping

I have just returned from a fantastic week in France, staying in Soulac Sur Mer (Aquitaine) so no local trapping but I did see some wonderful butterflies and moths while out there, highlights include 2 species of swallow tail, loads of hummingbird hawkmoths (pics to follow later) and one evening a deathshead hawkmoth flew onto our balcony!! came as a total shock to me! Unfortunately it flew off before I could grab my camera.

Oh and one lone glow worm in the garden of the place we stayed!

One quick question for anyone reading this, does anyone know what insect would make a kitten like mewing sound in south west France? Heard theme very night but not a clue what they were.
