Autumn is here

I popped the trap out last night for the first time since last Wednesday, but boy has the weather changed! When I checked the trap around 22:00 it was cold, and all I could see hanging about were a couple of micros and a Riband wave and a Garden Carpet. Things were not much better in the morning. Again it was cold but now it was also wet (oh and the Riband wave was gone).

I'm not going to say the trap was empty as there were still some moths, 30 moths of 8 species (alas no mega migrants waiting my dreaming mind!), anyway here is the complete list:

Light Brown Apple Moth  2
Riband Wave  1
Garden Carpet  1
Large Yellow Underwing  6
Lesser Yellow Underwing  10
Setaceous Hebrew Character  1
Square-spot Rustic  8
Flounced Rustic  1

And the few photos I took (sorry not many, had other things to do today, and as there was nothing new, I wasn't hugely bothered with snapping loads, like I normally would):

  2. Looks a warmer day, just not sure I can face the early start required to check the trap :)
