First September Trapping

I have never trapped in September before so this is new ground for me (and will hopefully be new moths in the coming months, I'm especially looking forward to a trip to my dads in Kent at the end of October, you never know what might be hanging around!).

Anyway we are still experiencing some good weather at the moment, nice sunny days and warm nights (although last night was pretty clear which may explain the numbers), I was not working in the morning so the trap went out last night.

I'm just going to jump straight into the list today so here goes:

Orange Swift  1
Caloptilia robustella  1 NFM
Horse Chestnut Leaf-miner  1
Light Brown Apple Moth  5
Agriphila tristella  1
Agriphila geniculea  6
Mint Moth 2
Mother of Pearl  1
Garden Carpet  2
Brimstone Moth  3
Willow Beauty  1
Large Yellow Underwing  11
Lesser Yellow Underwing  16
Square-spot Rustic  10
Centre-barred Sallow  1
Svensson's Copper Underwing  1 NFM
Angle Shades  1
Vine's Rustic  2
Silver Y  1
Straw Dot  1

68 moths of 20 Species, a couple of new ones for me one micro (which is pretty cool looking but tricky to photograph well, due to it's metallic colouring) and Svensson's Copper Underwing (finally Identified one for sure after checking underwing through the bottom of a pot), it flew before photos though which is not so good.

Oh well on to the photos:

I think a Square-spot Rustic but very different from the classic one below.
